IN MEMORIAM PETER USTINOV

“You know… there are some men who cannot stand too much perfection. They see it as a disease, which must be stamped out at it's first rash showing.”--Peter Ustinov as Captain Vere in “Billy Budd”, directed and screenplay co-written by Ustinov from the novel by Herman Melville.

Here’s to you, Sir Peter, and your quest for “too much perfection”-- and all the joy you brought millions of readers, theatre audiences and film-goers…(thank you especially for Socrates and Gideon)… for your service during the War Against Fascism…and the years of work with UNICEF. You made a difference.

Fare thee well, Lentulus Batiatus!
